SEAT CODE was launched in 2019 as the company’s digital machine, specialised in software development and with a start-up mentality, a dynamic approach, willing to take risks and move in uncertain environ-ments. Now, five years later, it continues to maintain its spirit and has consolidated as a centre of digital and technological innovation to transform mo-bility. It has a staff of around 300 people of 14 differ-ent nationalities carrying out this task. SEAT CODE is a key component for the digital transformation of SEAT S.A. Its focus of action is on designing, developing and operating software pro-jects linked to three areas: customer experience, pro-duction and logistics optimisation, and mobility. All with the aim of accelerating the future of SEAT and CUPRA, as well as turning our brands into providers of cutting-edge digital mobility services with a leading role in smart mobility. It acts as a partner for SEAT S.A., addressing our digital needs and creating specific products and solutions aimed at optimising operations or strength-ening the business. It also seeks new business oppor-tunities based on digital solutions to position itself as a leading provider of digital mobility services. One of the company’s most relevant products in the mobility area is Giravolta, a platform to operate and manage mobility services offered by multiple op-erators in a completely digital manner. Giravolta cur-rently manages almost 10,000 vehicles and serves more than 450,000 registered users in 7 countries. ELECTRIFICATION AND ALLIANCES SEAT CODE features prominently in the electrification of SEAT S.A. It directly works to optimise the digital experience that we can offer users so that the adop-tion of the electric vehicle is smooth and satisfactory. It develops products such as, for example, My CUPRA App, the main gateway for customer digital interac-tion with our brand. It indirectly collaborates on pro-jects that allow maximum operational efficiency to be achieved in all links of the supply chain. SEAT CODE collaborates with other key compa-nies and institutions in the Barcelona technology sec-tor in order to always be at the forefront of innovation. These include the private association Tech Barcelona, which promotes the city’s digital ecosystem; Mobile World Capital Barcelona, the public-private founda-tion that promotes the digital development of socie-ty; and 22@ Network, an organisation that promotes networking between companies based in Barcelona’s technology district. It also collaborates with public institutions, espe-cially regarding programmes linked to open innova-tion, based on collaboration with internal and exter-nal agents to generate new ideas. Moreover, it has signed agreements with various educational insti-tutions linked to the technological world, such as La Salle, to guarantee that the company has the best talent. New era Last year, SEAT CODE intensified the dedication of its activity towards SEAT and CUPRA, increasing its dedication towards projects of both brands by 45%. In November, it moved to new offices in the 22@ technology district. SEAT CODE also has a new CEO, Isaac Partal, who joined the company a year ago. Partal comes from SEAT S.A., where he joined in 2011 in the Digital Business area. He has participated in the progressive digitalisation of the company in various roles over the years. — SEAT CODE moved in November to new offices in the 22@ district, Barcelona’s technological area. ISAAC PARTAL CEO, SEAT CODE We at SEAT CODE work to create di-gital solutions based on innova-tion and data. Our aim is to have a positive impact on SEAT and CUPRA, focusing on three areas: digital business and customer ex-perience, production and logistics, and mobility. The transformation towards electrification means that we need to be even more efficient in our daily operations and optimise our costs. We are contributing to this at SEAT CODE by developing di-gital solutions that pave the way for the future. We are also focused on creating and developing user experiences that facilitate the adoption of electric vehicles by our customers. The mobility of the future poses several cha-llenges. The first is technological. New energy sour-ces and electrification will represent a paradigm shift in the automotive sector. We need to make the transition easy for our customers. We also need to be prepared to offer more flexible mobility servi-ces that our customers will increasingly demand, making the most of digitalisation. Being in constant contact with our customers through digital chan-nels will allow us to provide them with relevant pro-ducts and services at the right time and to foster their loyalty to our brands. — ISAAC PARTAL CEO, SEAT CODE
