INNOVATION IMPULSE READ MORE READ MORE THE 4TH EDITION OF THE BIG PITCH LAUNCHES THREE INNOVATIVE PROJECTS The Big Pitch is a crosscutting initiative promoted by People and Organisation to promote internal innovation as a key component of our business. Its 4th edi-tion, held on 11 April and attended by the Executive Committee, was used to pres-ent to our various business areas three of the pro-jects that took shape during a hackathon that was held at the most recent edition of Innovation Days+. The three projects presented at the event (RushRebel, Electrify Me! and Digital CUPRA Mas-ter) focus on three of the company’s six strate-gic pillars: customer satisfaction, CUPRA growth and electrification. A presentation that culminated months of work. “Almost a year ago, we put out the call to take part in the hackathon. From all those who accepted the challenge, we formed five teams with extremely transversal and different profiles, capable of generating new and disruptive ideas,” explains Kim Fauser, from Employee Engagement & Innovation. The five initial teams, three of which made it through to The Big Pitch, commenced work a month before Innovation Days+ 2023, in line with the dy-namics of startups. The goal was to present ideas that could provide solutions for the company’s vari-ous business areas. “These ideas presented us with their innovation needs, which in turn inspired the challenges we posed to the different teams so that they could search for possible solutions,” says Kim Fauser. Following their presentation at The Big Pitch, the Employee Engagement & Innovation Department will follow up the three finalist projects, seeking synergies with the areas and ultimately helping these initiatives find sponsors and internal support to launch pilot programmes and bring their projects to fruition. The aim is for these initiatives to generate a tangible re-turn by creating new business opportunities that add value to the company. It was also announced during the event that two projects presented in the previous edition of The Big Pitch were about to become a reality: The Taste of CUPRA and Data Experience. The first, which asked what CUPRA tastes like, will materi-alise in the coming months with the launch of its own drink in partnership with a manufacturer. The second has become a reality in the form of the Op-eration S.T.A.R. app, a video game that uses gam-ification techniques to solve challenges and test products. Two successes that underline the role of inter-nal entrepreneurship and the culture of innovation. “Our company is currently undergoing a transfor-mation at a very important moment when we can-not think not only about the present, about what we are doing, but also about the future. We need to be innovative and disruptive if we wish to remain relevant as a company, and for this internal talent to accelerate our transformation,” says Laura Vidal, from the Employee Engagement & Innovation team.—
